What costs can you expect?

Different prices for different assignments. I work with different rates, which I explain below:

Appraisal reports for valuables insurance

Appraisal reports for valuables insurance are comprehensive reports in which Dutch or foreign gold, platinum, and silver assay marks are studied and research is done into maker’s marks. Testing of gold content, gemological testing of gemstones and pearls, assessment of the condition of a piece of jewellery or watch. Depending on the types of valuables, I process approximately 8 to 12 pieces of jewellery/watches per hour. A ring with a cluster of various stones will simply take more time than a solitaire ring or a plain wedding band. Including the preparation of the report, you should expect to pay approximately 300 to 500 euros.

Appraisal reports for inheritance or estate division

Appraisal reports for inheritance or estate division are generally simpler and less extensive. This includes auction values, rather than the new value or replacement value as with valuables insurance.

If you need a quick verbal appraisal to get an indication of the value of your jewellery, a verbal appraisal will suffice. You can take notes while I examine your valuables.
