My passion lies with jewellery that carries a story — pieces that shine not only in brilliance but in history. I specialize in antique and vintage jewellery, with a particular love for French jewels from the first half of the 20th century.
France
My career began in PR and communications, but life took a different turn when I moved to France with my husband to run a château in Burgundy, hosting holiday guests, weddings and events. While furnishing the château, I frequently visited local and Parisian auction houses and became captivated by French jewellery. That fascination eventually became my profession.
Gemology
After the sudden passing of my husband, I decided to fully dedicate myself to the world of jewellery. I returned to school and in 2015, I earned my Graduate Gemologist diploma from GIA and my certified jewelry appraiser diploma from the Vocational School in Schoonhoven (Netherlands). Since then, I have worked as a sales specialist in high-end jewellery and as a customer service manager. I also ran an online boutique for antique and vintage jewellery for several years and exhibited at fairs in both France and the Netherlands.
Teacher and jewellery specialist
Back in the Netherlands I worked 3 years as head of the jewellery department for several auction houses. Today I work as a freelance jewellery specialist and teach gemology at the Schoonhoven Vocational School, where I guide future goldsmiths, jewelers, and watch technicians. I am a candidate member of the Dutch Federation of Appraisers and Auctioneers (TMV).
With a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of style, and in-depth knowledge of both gemstones and market value, I offer:
